Just as with Yahoo, there are a couple of steps involved in the registration
process.

1. You need to register to join. If you visit the site: Shiloh Shepherds Community Forums and try to click on Shiloh Shepherd Friends, it will say that you are not registered and need to do so.

a. The list rules will come up and you will need to accept them. These are basically the same rules that applied for SSF.

b. You will be asked to fill out a profile including user name and a password. (These will be sent to you afterwards). This is similar to the Yahoo profile but in our case will be used to help put you in the appropriate groups. Unlike with Yahoo, this information will not be shared with marketing groups and will not increase the SPAM that you receive in your mailbox.

c. You will be given the opportunity to agree to the rules again.

d. You will be asked which groups you would like to participate in.

STM and SSF are open to all registered users.

Shiloh Christian Corner and the FAQs and General Announcements are open to everyone.

OSS, SSDCAmembers, ShilohVibs are private groups for SSDCA members and ISSR Licensed Breeders that have been on Yahoo for several years.

New Zion Shilohs is for customers of New Zion.

e. You will be asked to insert a signature. Do not worry about the UBB
code. Just type in how you want to sign your posts, similar to what you already do on SSF, etc. (see my "signature" below)

f. You have the option of using a avatar or picture when you post. You can use a picture of your chosing or one of the ones available. We would prefer not to store them on our forum website. If you email the list administrator, she can help you through the process of creating a custom "avatar" and storing it on a club website.

g. Your answers to the first 5 questions are private and are only visible to the list administrator, the answers to the last 5 questions are part of your public profile.

h. Your first and last names and email address, while required when registering to help us better place you in the appropriate forums, will only be visible to the list administrator and will not appear to others.

Once you have submitted your membership request, it goes to the list administrator for approval. At the same time you will receive an automated email verifying your email address. You must respond to the email.

Once your email address has been verified, the list administrator will check through your membership request, approve you and place you in the groups which you requested.

You will receive an email verifying that your membership has been approved and you will be good to go.
