Things have not been going well for me. I posted about Loki's training problem and I am sure most got the general idea I am not well. I am having a harder and harder time staying on my feet. The only meds that will work for me are the ones that I am alergic to. I spend most of my time on my nebulizer. I went back to work and walked right into a room FULL of sick people with respitory infections
I am SO TIRED of fighting to keep breathing. It is affecting Loki too. He is just not acting like himself and I am sure it is the stress (that or he is growing again or both). I feel so bad for the poor boy. I feel like I rushed him into growing up long before he should have ever had to grow up.

Angela, what's in your nebulizer? Ventolin, or another drug that can speed up the heart rate? I have a patient that was actually pushed into congestive heart failure by his ventolin inhaler! When the heart beats too fast (tachycardia) it is inefficient: the chambers don't have time to fully fill up with blood between beats. This means your circulatory system isn't working effectively, and you're not getting sufficient oxygenated blood. Combined with the respiratory distress, it's a vicious cycle!

Please have your doctor, or a cardiac/ respiratory specialist give you a thorough checkup! I don't at all like the sound of what's going on!

Sheilajeanne sounds like she knows her medical stuff, and sending you good advice.. the checkup should be a priority.. we are also praying for your better health, be sure to eat healthy to keep your immune system at it's best, and don't put off seeing your specialist. The sooner you get on a program that works,the sooner you will feel better. It is frustrating to want to play with your dogs,and not be physically up to what your brain wants to do.. but you dog will be patient and wait! Speaking of what's in that nebulizer... my son is sitting in front of the TV watching Word World while having his nightly breathing treatment (Pulmicort). He has asthma. When he needs a bronchodilator he gets Xopenex, which has a lower risk of cardiac side effects.

Our son's pulmonologist always tells us if his asthma isn't controlled by the plan we have to call them ASAP, so I hope that you can get them to give you a good checkup like Sheilajeanne suggested.

Angela, many prayers for you and your loved companions from us. February is such a dreadful month for breathing- I have a friend with asthma and she's having the most difficult time right now. Hang in there, it will improve soon with better weather.
