Hello everyone,
My brother Al, was accepted into the Acute Care Rehab floor which is what we wanted. Prognosis is for him to come home with my sister from here. If all goes well, he should not have to go to a long term nursing care facility,,,, Please continue Praying, as IT IS WORKING ! ! He is doing great, his agitation has greatly subsided and patience is coming along, (Prayers answered, thank you) I talked with him last night, he is learning to walk with a cane, dress himself with one hand, etc etc. They evaluate his progress weekly, with an expected stay on this floor of 4 weeks. My brother is very gratefull for all the prayers from our Shiloh Forum, and has enjoyed the letters from all over the country. My family and I wish to thank you and wish everyone a Very Merry Christ Filled Christmas,,, The Lass family, Serenity Hill Shiloh's Prescott, AZ http://serenityhillshilohs.com Member: The SSDCA Yvette & Willie Lass Alithea 12 & Aaron 8 (Orca's Servants) (Nala's Babysitters) |

Willie, My son, as you know, is a quadriplegic; he spent 6 months at Kessler Rehab in NJ. Please tell your brother that it's hard work! And for him not to be discouraged; sometimes it's taking 3 steps forward and 2 back, but there's always a little progress. He sounds like he's doing really well, and should continue to do so! I would also recommend that his wife and anyone else in the close family who might be involved with helping to care for him at home, get as much information as they can while he's at rehab. See if there's a family support group; talk to the therapists if he will need any adaptive equipment when he goes home. And most of all, 'one day at time'!

How is your brother doing? Was he able to come home? Prayers are being sent out to him and your family. Keep us posted -- hopefully with good news on your brothers recovery.
